Our Work Process

We complete designing and development in six stages. Each stage is important and we keep regular contact with our client to show each stage's progress. We give our clients plenty of opportunities to provide feedback and direction whenever they want.

The exact process will vary slightly from designer to designer, but the basics are generally the same.

Phase One: Information Gathering

What according to you is the most crucial step in the web design and development process? Do not be surprised to know that it is ‘information gathering’. Yes, we highly interact with the client and take a lot of things into consideration. We need to have a complete understanding of the service or product and know the complete requirements of the client. Our technical experts ask a lot of questions unless they have gathered all the information. Some of the essential points are:

Purpose of the website: Our first goal is to know the purpose of the website so that we get a clear idea of the business. The purpose of the website will also define its goals which can be either money or to gather information.

Target audience: This is a very important factor while designing a website. We take into consideration the age, sex and their interest. We can create a picture of the entire website, its look and feel. This helps us to choose the ideal website color, font, content and style.

Functionalities and features: We try to know the exact functionalities the client wises to have in the website and the various features. We ask them to offer reference websites so for better understanding and exact solution.

Even if the client has planned his website minutely, we being the experts offer relevant suggestions. We believe in delivering the best!

Phase Two: Planning

We use all the information gathered from the initial phase and put them together and the experts start with the planning process. Our experts review the web statistics, research the competitor web sites so that you get the best one.

The sitemap is very essential where all the main navigation menus and sub menus are listed. This gives an idea of the overall structure and flow of the website. During the planning stage, we decide on the technologies that will be implemented like ecommerce, forms, flash, blogs, CMS, mobile applications etc.

So here is a brief of our planning and research process:

  • We create an outline of the website content.
  • Prepare a functional flow chart.
  • Make a document of the programmatic flow.
  • Gather important information including samples, images, style guides and graphic files.
  • Wireframe creation.

We also plan for domain information by following a procedure of defining and specifying the informationthat should be gathered, how will it be done and how will it be updated. Our web planner uses other required resources to support the web development and operations.

Phase Three: Design

Designing is the most creative phase. We design the website based on all the information gathered and planning. Our web designers decide about the actual components of the website. We consider the purpose of the website, audience, goals and domain information. We have a team of expert and highly creative designers who work in a flexible, elegant and efficient manner. Designing is considered as the backbone of the website development process. It is all about a good web structure.

The first step to website design is wire-framing. Here all the elements of the web page are mapped in a ‘box and grid’ fashion. This is akin to creating a skeleton of the website and this is an affordable way to revise the design. ‘Mockups’ is another essential phase of web design procedure. It gives a more accurate representation of the website elements and allows visual revisions.

Some of the factors we keep in mind while designing are:

  • While layout designing, we consider the business niche.
  • A flawless user experience.
  • Color and use of graphics.
  • SEO friendly architecture.
  • Impressive look and feel.

Designing is a very straight forward process and we use the best graphics creation tool and add life to the mock-up. Once it is approved by the client, we integrate it into HTML. We make all the desired changes and alterations before the project moves on to the coding stage. We implement a proper user interface design to ensure that the users get the right message.

We work closely to our clients because communication is vital in this phase to make sure that the final design matches your taste and requirements.

Phase Four: Development

The website gets a life! In the development stage, all the functionalities are added to the website and it’s made dynamic. The developer takes the graphic elements from the prototype and creates a functional website. This is the phase where the website takes real shape. The web developers put the pages together, creates navigational structure that was shaped in the design phase. He uses a combination of technologies like HTML, PHP, CSS and creates a fully functional and bespoke CMS so that the client can enjoy full website control.

Initially the home page is developed, followed by the interior pages. If we have the contents, we place them in proper position. All the elements like design contact form; sliders, shopping carts, CMS, animations etc. are made dynamic.

Our expert developers have a thorough technical understanding of the front-end as well as the back-end of the website. They write useful XHTML/CSS codes maintaining the present web standard.

Phase Five: Testing and Delivery

Before the completion of the development stage and before the website goes live, there is the ‘testing and delivery’ stage. The testing experts do various checks to make sure that all the functionalities are working properly and the structure is intact. They do a complete testing of the forms, scripts, browser compatibility issue, broken links and website optimization. The testing expert will validate the codes so that your website meets the current standard. At Webee IT Services we check the websites through W3Cs Val¬id¬a¬tion ser-vices for CSS compliance and Markup.

Go live!

Once the tester finally approves, it is time for the delivery. Initially the website is loaded on our server and once the client finally approves it, we take the FTP details from the client. The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is used to upload the website to the server. One last check is done and the website is finally released.

Now, your website is launched and viewers can view it!

Website maintenance is a very common service offered by a web development company. At Webee IT Services, we schedule regular website backups and update it at proper intervals. Some websites demand changing or updating the content frequently. We also make efforts to improve certain areas of the website so that it gains proper visibility and has better performance.

If you upload new content or products constantly, visitors will keep coming to your website. The company offers maintenance packages at lucrative rates so that the maintenance process is easy for you.

Another very important maintenance type is the Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Yes, it is useless to have a website unless it is optimized. If your website has a top ranking in the major search engines, people can easily find it.

We create a successful website and you watch your business grow!

Phase Six: Maintenance

The development of your web site is not necessarily over, though. One way to bring repeat visitors to your site is to offer new content or products on a regular basis. Most web designers will be more than happy to continue working together with you, to update the information on your web site. Many designers offer maintenance packages at reduced rates, based on how often you anticipate making changes or additions to your web site.

If you prefer to be more hands on, and update your own content, there is something called a CMS (Content Management System) that can be implemented to your web site. This is something that would be decided upon during the Planning stage. With a CMS, your designer will utilize online software to develop a database driven site for you.

A web site driven by a CMS gives you the ability to edit the content areas of the web site yourself. You are given access to a back-end administrative area, where you can use an online text editor (similar to a mini version of Microsoft Word). You’ll be able to edit existing content this way, or if you are feeling more adventurous, you can even add new pages and content yourself. The possibilities are endless!

It’s really up to you as far as how comfortable you feel as far as updating your own web site. Some people prefer to have all the control so that they can make updates to their own web site the minute they decide to do so. Others prefer to hand off the web site entirely, as they have enough tasks on-hand that are more important for them to handle directly.

That’s where the help of a your web designer comes in, once again, as they can take over the web site maintenance for you – one less thing for you to do is always a good thing in these busy times!

Other maintenance type items include SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SES (Search Engine Submission). This is the optimization of you web site with elements such as title, description and keyword tags which help your web site achieve higher rankings in the search engines. The previously mentioned code validation is something that plays a vital role in SEO, as well.

There are a lot of details involved in optimizing and submitting your web site to the search engines – enough to warrant it’s own post. This is a very important step, because even though you now have a web site, you need to make sure that people can find it!
